Drawer Latch

These latches are designed for drawers. They can be used on other applications, but keep in mind that if they are visible to a small child, they can get them open immediately. These latches are superior to many of the drawer latches on the market because: they do not have any plastic placed under bending stress, the latch is made of a higher grade and strength of' plastic, and adults find them easy to open.As with all latches, there are always installation limitations on their use due to drawer and cabinet face construction. Drawers, where the inside box of the drawer is considerably smaller than the opening in the cabinet, present a problem with mounting the latch. Check the drawer and see that the top of the drawer box is no larger than one quarter inch from the bottom of the cabinet opening it slides into. Also, check to be sure that cabinet overhang or the above drawer does not interfere on the opening of the drawer to get your finger in and disengage the latch. Either of these conditions are the primary reason these drawer latches may not install in your cabinets.
