Hearth Guard

The most dangerous place in a home is a fireplace. Thirty percent of all admissions to emergency clinic are for children under six falling on the fireplace hearth. If you have a raised hearth in your home, then you need to protect the sharp edges from potential falls by the child. One great solution for this problem is the Fireplace Hearth Guard. This device is a prefabricated assembly that clamps onto the existing hearth with a hidden mechanism under the Hearth guard. No adhesives are used and it is almost impossible for a child to pull it off once installed. To use this device, the hearth should be at least three inches off the floor. The Guard will fit firepalces that are 54" to 92" in length for the Taupe color. All other colors are 48" to 78". The sides are covered to a depth of 8" to 16". Additional lengths can be obtained by adding the extension. The extension increases the length of the guard to 116" and 102" respectively. Shorter side lengths can be custom ordered as long as the minimum depth is two inches. -Specify Black, Brown, Gray, Taupe or Ivory (Note: the guard will only install on a hearth that protrudes from the fireplace and provides right angle corners on each end).
